Prof. Mahmoud Al-Kilani

Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Kilani is Professor of International Entrepreneurship at the
University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and is Regional Co-ordinator for Asia. His research and teaching focus on entrepreneurial ecosystems, sustainability, and financial analysis, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of innovation and corporate practices. His current research, carried out in collaboration with IAAER-KPMG international, investigates the role of intangibles in corporate reporting. Professor Al-Kilani has managed and initiated international collaborations and partnerships with numerous international universities, including Amity University (UK, India and Singapore), Omiros College (Greece), Mannheim University (Germany), Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland), and has taught in universities throughout Europe, the Middle East and South Asia and has successfully supervised numerous doctoral students. Beyond academia, he is a successful entrepreneur being the co-founder of British Foam Group (BFG) Packaging, a sustainable packaging company that reflects his commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility. BFG became the second largest producer of
EPS (Expanded Polystyrene Foam) in Europe in the food packaging industry, exporting its products to 28 countries from bases in the US, Canada, Europe and the Middle East
