Simeng Wang

Simeng Wang is an international legal researcher and a core member of the Cambridge for Future training team. Specialising in international law, investment arbitration, and sustainable development, her work focuses on translating complex global regulatory shifts, such as the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and AI governance, into practical compliance strategies for cross-border industries. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Law at Durham University, where her research focuses on green energy investment and Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS). Simeng holds significant academic and editorial roles; she serves as a Guest Editor for a Cambridge University Press themed issue on corporate climate liability and as Blog Co-Editor at Durham University's Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy (CSDLP). Furthermore, she is an affiliated researcher with the British Academy-funded ELEVATE-ProClima project, conducting comprehensive legal research on international climate policies and evaluating national climate frameworks. Her insights have been published in authoritative outlets such as the European Investment Law and Arbitration Review. By combining rigorous academic research with hands-on experience in executive education, Simeng provides essential regulatory foresight and strategic training for corporate leaders navigating the energy transition.
